OUR STORY
SINCE AUGUST 2021
The Harvest Church is a vibrant, life-giving ministry with a heart for people and a mission to live out the love of Jesus every day. What began in August 2021, during the height of COVID, as Inner Court Cathedral in a studio in Columbia, South Carolina, has continued to grow, evolve, and expand into a ministry with a clear assignment for this generation.
From those early days, our heart has remained the same: to create a place where people can encounter God, grow in faith, discover purpose, and be strengthened for everyday life. As we step into this next chapter as The Harvest Church, we are embracing a broader vision to reach families, build communities, and prepare for new campuses opening soon.
At The Harvest Church, outreach is not just an event. It is who we are. We believe the Gospel is most powerful when it meets people where they are, addressing both spiritual and practical needs. Through community initiatives, service efforts, and intentional generosity, we are committed to lifting families, strengthening neighborhoods, and restoring hope.

Our Mission
The mission of The Harvest Church is to lead people to Christ, build whole lives, strengthen families, and serve communities through worship, discipleship, care, and practical support.
Our Vision
The Harvest Church exists to help people grow in Christ, become whole in every area of life, and build stronger communities. We are becoming a multi-campus church known not only for worship, but for serving neighborhoods, strengthening families, developing people, and bringing the love of Christ into everyday life.
OUR CORE VALUES
The Gospel
The Gospel is our foundation. Everything we believe, preach, build, and become flows from the life, death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
The Harvest
The harvest is our assignment. We plant, water, nurture, and gather because God has called us to reach people and help them grow in the right direction.
Generosity
Generosity is our privilege. We give freely, serve gladly, and share intentionally because blessed people become a blessing.
Community
Community is our calling. We are not just a church in the city; we are a church for the city. We love our neighbors, strengthen families, and serve people where they are.
Prayer
Prayer is our source of power. We do not move ahead of God. We seek Him first, listen for His voice, and trust His direction.
Honor
Honor is our posture. We lead with humility, respect, integrity, and reverence for God, His house, His people, and one another.
The Extra Mile
The extra mile is our joy. We go beyond what is required because love always looks for another way to serve.
People
People are our purpose. Every person has value, every soul matters, and every life is worth reaching, restoring, and discipling.
Worship
Worship is our response. We give God our whole heart, not just in song, but through surrendered lives, obedient faith, and daily devotion.
Growth
Growth is our expectation. We believe every believer should be growing in faith, character, discipline, wisdom, and purpose.
Revival
Revival is our pursuit. We hunger for the presence of God, the transformation of lives, and a fresh move of the Holy Spirit in our church, our city, and our generation.
Service
Service is our lifestyle. We do not wait for a title to serve. We use our hands, hearts, gifts, and resources to make the love of Jesus visible.
Excellence
Excellence is our standard. We give God our best because what we build represents Him and serves His people.
Outreach
Outreach is our heartbeat. We do not exist only for Sunday. We carry the love of Christ beyond the walls and into the lives of people who need hope.

SENIOR PASTOR
KHALIL D. F. KOGER
Dr. Khalil D. F. Koger is a pastor, preacher, educator, creative, and visionary leader with a heart for building people, strengthening communities, and advancing the Kingdom of God with excellence.

He serves as the Senior Pastor of The Harvest Church, a growing ministry committed to reaching people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, developing disciples, serving the community, and creating a place where people can worship, grow, belong, and discover purpose. With a passion for both spiritual formation and practical impact, Dr. Koger leads with the conviction that ministry must extend beyond the walls of the church and into the lives of families, neighborhoods, and the broader community.

Dr. Koger’s ministry journey reflects a deep commitment to faith, creativity, leadership, and service. He began pastoring in August 2021, when what is now The Harvest Church was first established as Inner Court Cathedral in a studio space in Columbia, South Carolina, during the COVID-19 pandemic. Since then, the ministry has continued to grow, evolve, and embrace a greater assignment for this generation.

In addition to his pastoral leadership, Dr. Koger is the General Overseer of the Greater Harvest Ecumenical Alliance, where he helps cultivate covenant, collaboration, and kingdom alignment among churches, leaders, and ministries. His work is marked by a desire to see leaders equipped, ministries strengthened, and communities transformed through faith, structure, and service.

Beyond the pulpit, Dr. Koger is an educator, entrepreneur, and community advocate. He has served in music education and youth development, using his gifts to inspire the next generation through teaching, mentorship, creativity, and leadership. He is also the founder of several initiatives and ventures designed to merge faith, function, creativity, and impact.

Known for his prophetic voice, practical wisdom, and passion for excellence, Dr. Koger carries a message that speaks to both the spirit and the everyday life of the believer. His ministry emphasizes the Gospel, prayer, worship, service, community, leadership development, and holistic transformation.

At the heart of his work is a simple but powerful mission: to build people, serve communities, and help lives grow in the direction of God’s purpose.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
THE BIBLE
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God. It is our final authority for faith, doctrine, and daily living.

GOD
We believe in one true and living God, the Creator of heaven and earth. God is eternal, holy, all-powerful, and actively involved in the lives of humanity.

We believe God has revealed Himself as Father in creation, Son in redemption, and Holy Spirit in regeneration.

Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is God manifested in the flesh.
He is fully God and fully man. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for the sins of the world, rose again on the third day, ascended into heaven, and will return again as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

Civil Government
We believe civil government is ordained by God for order and justice. As believers, we are called to honor lawful authority, pray for leaders, and pursue justice, mercy, and righteousness in our communities.

Marriage and Sexual Integrity
We believe marriage is a sacred covenant established by God between one man and one woman. We believe sexual intimacy is designed by God for marriage, and we uphold biblical standards of purity, faithfulness, and honor.

The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is the active presence and power of God working in believers today. The baptism of the Holy Spirit is a promise available to all believers and empowers them to live, serve, witness, and operate in the gifts of the Spirit.

Humanity, Sin, and Redemption
We believe humanity was created in the image and likeness of God.
Through Adam’s sin, sin entered the world, and all humanity became in need of salvation.

We believe Jesus Christ came to redeem, restore, and reconcile humanity back to God through His death, burial, and resurrection.
​

Salvation
We believe salvation is the gift of God, received by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. The biblical response to salvation includes repentance, water baptism in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Repentance
We believe repentance is essential to salvation. Repentance is a sincere turning away from sin and turning toward God. Through repentance, we receive forgiveness and begin a transformed life in Christ.

Water Baptism
We believe water baptism is by full immersion and is for believers. Baptism identifies us with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

We baptize in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ according to the pattern of the early church.

Sanctification and Holiness
We believe believers are called to live holy lives that honor God. Holiness is not about empty religious performance. It is the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit that helps us become more like Christ in our character, conduct, and devotion.

The Church
We believe the Church is the body of Christ. The Church exists to worship God, preach the Gospel, make disciples, serve people, and demonstrate the love and power of God in the world.

We believe every believer should be connected to a local church for worship, growth, accountability, and service.

The Great Commission
We believe the Gospel is the good news that Jesus Christ died, was buried, and rose again. Jesus commanded His Church to take this message to the world and make disciples of all nations.

Divine Healing
We believe divine healing is provided through the finished work of Jesus Christ and is available today. God still heals physically, emotionally, and spiritually through prayer, faith, and the power of the Holy Spirit.

Communion
We believe Communion is a sacred act of remembrance established by Jesus Christ. Through the bread and the cup, we remember His broken body, His shed blood, and His sacrifice for our salvation.

Generosity and Tithing
We believe generosity is a biblical principle and an act of worship. Tithing, giving the first tenth to God through the local church, is a biblical practice that supports ministry and advances the work of the Kingdom.

We believe God blesses cheerful and faithful giving.

The Return of Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ will return again in bodily form. His return is the blessed hope of the Church and calls us to live faithfully, urgently, and expectantly.

We believe in the resurrection of the just and the eternal reward of the saints.
